Welcome to the WKA English Open Championships 2024

Please read the below information.

Weigh ins will be held at 9am – 10am. Please note if you miss weigh ins you will be removed from your categories with no refund.

Medicals will be 9AM - 10.AM. If you are fighting in the ring (Ring Sports Full contact) you will require a short medical.

*** REFUND POLICY ***
As this is a pre-registration event, refunds will only be issued if we can't match within our parameters...Any refunds issued will take place before the event.

• Fail to make weight category you entered and unable to rematch = No Refund

• No License = No Fight = No Refund

If you miss your medical you will NOT be allowed to fight in the ring with no refund.

EQUIPMENT.

Gum Shields in all disciplines.

LIGHT CONTACT & FULL CONTACT KICKBOXING

10oz boxing gloves, Head guard (top of head to be padded). Shin and kick boots (NO insteps under boots). Groin guard mandatory for female juniors, adults and all male age sections. Breast protector/guard mandatory for female juniors and adults.
Mats – Long trousers, T-shirt or fight top on mats (NO vests).
Ring – Long trousers, No top for male, vest top for female.

LOW KICK, K1, (MAT & RING)

10oz boxing gloves, Head guard (top of head to be padded). Shin and kick boots or shin and insteps. Groin guard mandatory for female juniors, adults and all male age sections. Breast protector/guard mandatory for female juniors and adults.
Mats – Shorts, T-shirt or fight top on mats (NO vests).
Ring – Shorts, No top for male, vest top for female.

BOXING (MAT & RING)

10oz boxing gloves, Head Guard and groin guard
Mats – Shorts, T-shirt or fight top on mats (NO vests).
Ring – Shorts, No top for male, vest top for female.

The schedule will be released each day after weigh ins.

ABA Licensed Boxers * are NOT permitted to enter this event, reasons being this a Martial Arts based event strictly for Martial Artist. ONLY licensed martial artist can enter for insurance purposes.
