Pacific Northwest Memorial Cup – Official Competitor Information
The Pacific Northwest Memorial Cup is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, and will be held at the Sozo Yakima Sports Complex, located at 2200 S. 36th Ave., Yakima, WA 98903. This venue has successfully hosted the tournament for several consecutive years and provides the space and layout required for a high-level competitive event.

Doors Open: 8:00 AM
Venue Parking Cost: - Venue charges $7 per car.

Pre-Registration: Closes March 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Best Value)
Late Registration: March 20th, 2026
No On Sight Registration: To help expedite tournament schedule and help it run smoothly we ask that all registration be completed prior to the day of tournament. Registration on day of tournament will be subject to an additional $30.00 administrative fee.
Tournament Schedule
8:00 AM – Doors Open
9:00 AM - Referee/Coaches Meeting (Required to get coaches pass)
9:30 AM –Adult & Senior Black Belt Divisions Begin
10:30 AM – Jr Black Belt Divisions will begin with ring availability at 10:30am.
10:30 AM - Designated Referee Development Ring - Younger age groups and White Belt divisions will begin in one designated
Judges & Coaches Meeting - To be Announced
Schedule is subject to adjustment based on participation numbers.
Registration Verification (Required)
All competitors must verify that their date of birth and rank are entered correctly during registration. Division placement is determined by this information.
Any division changes requested on the day of the event will incur a $30.00 administrative fee.
Reminder-
Dedicated Weapons Divisions:
Separate Short Weapons and Long Weapons divisions for Black Belt ranks.
Split Grand Champion Divisions:
Separate Men’s and Women’s Kumite Grand Champion divisions.

$10.00 – Ages 7 and older

Safety Requirements
This is a non-contact tournament. All competitors are required to wear appropriate protective equipment, including
Gloves (no loose fingered gloves)
Headgear (for all competitors)
Mouthguard
Groin protection (required for males)
Additional protective equipment may be permitted at the discretion of the Chief Referee.
Inclusive Competition Divisions
Group A:
Full mobility or higher cognitive ability. Competitors may receive assistance from a coach outside the ring.
Group B:
Limited mobility and/or cognitive ability. Coach assistance permitted inside the ring.
Group C:
Wheelchair competitors performing independently.
Rank Classification
Beginner: 0–1 year experience
Novice: 1–2 years experience
Intermediate: 2–4 years experience
Advanced: Black Belt
Divisions may be combined to ensure meaningful competition. Kata and Kobudo divisions may combine genders when necessary.
