SIX GUN GRILL SUMMER SPORT FESTIVAL (PRIMARY & HIGH SCHOOL)

Greetings to all Dojo Owners,

Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy is excited to extend a historic invitation to all WUKF SA dojos affiliated to MASA and MASA-affiliated martial arts schools to participate in the Six Gun Grill Summer Sport Challenge 2025, now officially including Karate & Kobudo for the first time!

Non-affiliated dojos may compete by invitation only.

This prestigious multi-sport event takes place from 3–10 December 2025 at Hugenote High School in Wellington and features various school sports including rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, tennis, golf, swimming, athletics, and biathlon. We are honoured to join this incredible platform to showcase the spirit and discipline of karate and kobudo from 5-6 December.

While maintaining a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, the challenge promises high competition standards, serving as an excellent build-up event for the 2026 MASA-WUKF SA tournaments.

Our mission is to foster friendship, participation, and interaction, welcoming all styles and organisations. We look forward to your dojo’s participation in this landmark event!

Why Participate?

The Six Gun Grill Summer Sport Challenge offers:
• A unique opportunity to be part of one of South Africa’s premier school sports festivals.
• A valuable platform for novice students to gain competition experience.
• An ideal challenge for experienced athletes to sharpen skills ahead of major 2026 tournaments.

Important Notes:

1. No Refunds:
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for no-shows or illness-related withdrawals on the day of the event.

Supporting the Event:

We encourage all dojos to send referees, judges, and table officials to support the tournament and help build a strong officiating base for Western Cape events. Please motivate your officials to volunteer — their support ensures a smooth and efficiently run tournament.

Food & Refreshments:

A variety of snack shops and food stands will be available for competitors and spectators, with card facilities for easy payment. Officials will be catered for throughout the day.

Live Streaming:

All floors will be professionally live-streamed via the Action Sport SA Live Streaming Channels, featuring TV-style graphics and multiple camera views — perfect for showcasing our athletes to the world!

Entry & Payment Details:

• Dojo Heads must submit all entries and payments in bulk. No individual student entries will be accepted.
• Entry Deadline: Saturday, 31 October 2025 at midnight.

• Finalise accurate male & female divisions
• Merge small categories where necessary
• Allocate tatami/floors appropriately
• Assign referees, judges, and table officials
• Create a smooth order of events
