IBKO OPEN ENGLISH LIGHT CONTACT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 -

**This is strictly a Light Contact Only Event** (Separate Event for Full Contact Rules)

Open to ALL martial arts clubs no matter what association.

QUALIFIERS FOR THE IBKO NATIONAL TEAM, TO COMPETE AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Designed for all levels with match ups based on Age, Weight and Experience.

We reserve the right to merge some categories where appropriate.

*SEPARATE DIVISION for Novices under 18 months training* (from initial start of when license was issued)

Due to Covid-19 We have back dated no earlier than 1st June 2019 to be considered as a novice, with restrictions on training along with national lockdown anyone who has a licensed before the 1st of June 2019 is not considered a novice.

*PLEASE NOTE - ALL competitors must bring a valid and up to date martial arts license with them on the day, if you do not you will have to purchase a license on the day at £25 per competitor, and will only be entered in standard divisions.

* ABA Licensed Boxers * are NOT permitted to enter this event, reasons being this a Martial Arts based event strictly for Martial Artist. ONLY licensed martial artist can enter for insurance purposes.

With the rising popularity of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) it is not uncommon to have Boxers, Kickboxer’s and other striking style martial artist training alongside each other in gyms across the globe. With this in mind IBKO was formed to provide an integrated environment where these clubs can compete under the same banner, and martial artists can grow into other disciplines.
