General Information

It's a pleasure to invite all our international Wushu friends to the 2019 Oslo Open International Wushu, Kung Fu and Tai Chi Taolu + Tuishou competition.

The competition is open for everyone, regardless of federation, club or national affiliation. Individuals may also register without a club. Oslo Wushu Team would like to welcome you all!

The Oslo Wushu Open 2019 will be held on September 28th at BYGDØHUS ARENA: Huk Aveny 45, 0287 Oslo.

The National version of the 1999 set of IWUF rules will be implemented. Modern optional forms with nandu can be performed in modern wushu but there will be no marks for difficulties or transitions.

The NKF Taolu carpet will be used at the competition. This is a thin carpet surface with a thick soft layer underneath, similar to the carpets used in cheerleading and gymnastics.

Children 6-10 yrs
According to Norwegian sports law children below 11 years can't be ranked in competitions and all will receive medals and certificates.

Cadets, juniors and seniors +11 yrs
All athletes receive certificates for participation, the top three ranked athletes in each category will also receive gold, silver and bronze medals.

Best association
A special award will be given to the federation/club with the highest total ranking for all athletes and categories combined.

Best junior - "Junior award"
The junior with the highest level individual performance will get a special junior award.

Best athlete - "Grand Champion"
The overall best athlete with the highest total individual score will be awarded an exclusive special award as the Oslo Wushu Open "Grand Champion".

Childrens special mention - "Kids award"
A jury of judges will give a special award to one of the significant athletes in the Childrens festival.

Sunday September 15th
23:00: Registration DEADLINE. The draw lots will go live within September 20th.

Friday September 27th
All day: Teams arrive

Saturday September 28th
8:00-9:00 Registration and collection of all team packs at Bygdøhus Arena
9:30 March in for all athletes
10:00-13:00 Taolu competition hand forms
13:30-14:30 Tuishou competition
14:30-16:30 Taolu competition weapons and duilian
*awarding ceremonies directly after each category.

Sunday September 29th
9:00-12:00 Open international training session with top coaches (TBA.
All participants at the training camp will get a special souvenir.

Registration and payment is made through this website. The fee is NOK 150,- (ca 15 EUR) per category.

As the competition is held in Oslo it offers a wide range of hotels.
There is easy access to Oslo city by train from both OSL Oslo Airport and Torp Airport.
The arena lies 15 minutes by bus from Oslo City Hall (bus line 30, see www.ruter.no for details)
