We hereby invite all Hapkido schools to participate in the 2026 Nordic Hapkido Seminar & Tournament. The competition is open to all Hapkido practitioners whatever “style” or organizational affiliation.

General Information
Dear Grand Masters, Masters, Instructors, and Students of all Hapkido arts,
On behalf of Nordic Hapkido Tam Moo Kwan it is our great honour and pleasure to formally invite you to attend an official World Kido Federation event in Sweden, taking place 31 Oct-1 Nov 2026, in the city of Skellefteå.
This gathering is intended as a celebration of Hapkido, providing opportunities for international fellowship, technical development, competition, and cultural exchange. We are especially honoured to host, for the first time in Scandinavia, WKF President, Grand Master Steve Seo, who will lead seminars, workshops, and special federation activities throughout the event.
The event is open to all Hapkido practitioners whatever “style” or organizational affiliation.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us for this important World Kido Federation gathering in Sweden. Your presence would be a great honour and would further strengthen the bonds of our international Hapkido community.

GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
This championship is open for all Hapkido federations and associations. Please feel free to come to this event without any other obligations. Participants may compete in falling, self-defence, forms and weapons forms. The rules of the World Kido Federation/Hanminjok Hapkido Association will be used, but with a few small changes to comply with Swedish law.
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Location: Florahallen, Skelleftea, Sweden
Divisions: Nak bub, Hosinsul, Hyung and Mookisul
Rank Requirements: 9 gup - 4 dan
Participants must be member of an official Hapkido School.
RULES:
STF, World Kido Federation/Hanminjok Hapkido Association
TOURNAMENT EVENTS:
- Colour Belt Forms (Hyung)
- Colour Belt Techniques (Hosin Sool)
- Nak Bup championship (distance break falling)
- Black Belt Hosinsool
- Black Belt Hyung
- Staff/Spear
- Blade
- Synchronised Hyung (group or partner)
DEMONSTRATION
- Promotions and demonstrations will occur approximately half way through the day.
CATEGORIES:
Miniors: born in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
Cadets: born in 2012, 2013 and 2014
Juniors male and female: born in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (Athletes born in 2012 may compete as cadet or as junior, not in both).
Seniors male and female: born in 2010 and older (juniors born in 2010 may compete as junior or senior, not in both).
Ultra male and female: born in 1991 and older
Individual competition takes place between participants in the same category. Age categories as above, men and women compete in the same category, ie. no gender breakdown except for the Falling Divisions.
IMPORTANT: Where numbers allow you will compete within your rank and age category only, however in some instances we will need to combine divisions/age groups to create a fair competition. Concerned coaches will be informed if such is the case.
To compete as a Beginner the contestants must hold the rank 9-5 Gup.
To compete as an Advanced the contestants must hold the rank 4 Gup - 1 Gup.
To compete as Elite the contestants must hold the rank 1 Dan – 4 Dan.
Liability: All competitors participate at their own risk. The organizers shall not accept responsibility for any damages, injuries or losses sustained or incurred.
Coach: For every 5 contestants within the same team, one coach is granted free admission, with a maximum of 3 coaches. Only competitors and coaches have admittance to the competition areas.
Insurance: The organization and supervisor assume no responsibility for teams, any damages, violence, losses and injuries during the stay in Sweden. All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in Sweden. If not, this must be paid in cash.

During the 2026 Nordic Hapkido Seminar & Tournament, photographs and video recordings will be taken throughout the event. These may be published on our website, social media channels and other official communication platforms.
By completing your registration, you consent to the use of photographs and video recordings in which you are clearly identifiable. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the organizer.
