Lion's Den Invitational Tournament

Welcome to the Inaugural Lion’s Den Invitational!
Lionheart Martial Arts is thrilled to invite competitors, instructors, parents, and martial arts enthusiasts to the 1st Annual Lion’s Den Invitational Tournament!

The competition takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM, hosted at the new Iron Ridge Secondary Campus in Blackfalds, Alberta.

While our school has hosted successful in-house events in the past, we are stepping onto the bigger stage to launch what will become a premier annual tradition. We are opening our doors to welcome schools from across the region to build camaraderie, showcase talent, and experience high-caliber competition in an environment grounded in respect and sportsmanship.

Invitation & School Registration
Because this is an invitational tournament, registration is tailored to participating schools.

When creating your competitor profile, please look for your school name in the drop-down menu. If you do not see your club listed, please do not create a new school entry yourself—speak with your head instructor so they can reach out to us for an official tournament invitation and club setup.

What to Expect
We intend to uphold the highest standards of safety, fairness, and organization to ensure a fantastic day for everyone:

Divisions for Everyone: Opportunities are available for all age groups, belt ranks, and experience levels—whether this is a student's very first competition or they are a seasoned tournament veteran.

Family & Respect First: We pride ourselves on creating a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Self-control, courtesy, and high standards of etiquette are expected from all competitors, coaches, and spectators.

Spectator Seating & Concession: Dedicated spectator seating will be available to comfortably view the action. The venue may have a concession open during the event, though this is not guaranteed, so plan accordingly for snacks and hydration.

Umpires & Referees: The success of our event relies on dedicated officials, and we deeply appreciate the time and expertise brought to the floor.
Uniform Requirements: Official ICTF dress attire consists of black pants, a black golf shirt featuring the ICTF logo, and white shoes. Officials from other federations may wear black pants, black golf shirt, white shoes or their dobok.
Official Registration: Any non-competing umpires or referees attending the event are kindly asked to register under the Referee category in our registration system so we can properly organize ring councils and meal/break provisions.

Accommodations & Parking
Hotel Information: Blackfalds offers two local accommodation options. We highly recommend booking with the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham for your stay.

Parking Details:

Head Instructors: Reserved parking is designated to the East and South of the main entrance.

General Parking: The main parking lot is located directly South of the school.

Overflow Parking: If the main lot becomes full, additional parking is available just across the street to the South at the Sterling Industries Sports Park.

We are pouring a lot of energy into making this inaugural event a memorable, exciting day of martial arts excellence and community. We can’t wait to welcome you to Blackfalds and kick off the first of many Lion’s Den Invitational tournaments!
