Exeter Open Kickboxing Championship

Welcome to Exeter Open Kickboxing Championship!

We are excited to host a friendly kickboxing competition focused on Beginner and Intermediate competitors, designed to give the kickboxing community across the South West a real boost.

This event also provides a strong development platform for experienced competitors who are looking to gain more mat time, build confidence, and continue progressing in a fair and supportive environment.

Please check the categories below and choose the one that best suits your experience level.

Categories
Beginner

For competitors with less than 1 year of competition experience.

Intermediate

For competitors with less than 2 years of competition experience.

Advanced

For competitors with 2+ years of competition experience.

We trust coaches’ judgement when selecting the most suitable category for their competitors. If a coach believes a competitor should enter a particular category for the right development and safety reasons, this will be taken into consideration.

Light Con

For competitors aged 12 and under, Light Contact will be available as an all-level category only.

For competitors aged 13 and above, Light Contact will offer both beginner and all-level categories.

All match-ups will be carefully considered, with safety, fairness and competitor development in mind.

Fees & Awards

Entry Fee: £25 per category
Second Category: £20 when registered before Sunday 18th October
Spectator Fee: £8 online / £10 on the door
10 years and under: Free
Awards: High-quality medals

Doors Open: 8:00 AM
First Fight: 9:30 AM
Registration Closes: 15th November
Rule Set: WAKO rules will be followed.

Important Information

Due to limited time and space, there will be a maximum number of entries and categories we can accept. Once this limit has been reached, registration will close without exception.

Categories may be merged where necessary to allow suitable match-ups.

If we are unable to find a suitable match-up for you, we will contact you to either move you into the most appropriate category or provide a full refund.

Photography and video recording may take place during this event for promotional, reporting and safeguarding-approved purposes. Images may be used on the event organiser’s website, social media pages and other promotional materials.

Competitors, parents and guardians should read our full Photography and Filming Policy before registering. If you or your child must not be photographed or filmed for safeguarding reasons, please contact the organiser before the event and notify the registration desk upon arrival. We will take reasonable steps to respect this request; however, we cannot guarantee exclusion from wide-angle or crowd images taken in public event areas.
