General Information

1. PLACE & VENUE:
The tournament will be held at George Civic Centre, York Street, George

2. DATES:
1. All Weigh-in will take place on 10 July 2026 from 17h00 to 19h00 and 11 July 2026 from 07h00 to 08h00 at the
Championship venue.
2. Competition will be starting at 10h00
3. Officials meeting & Briefing will take place on 11 July from 08h15 to 08h30
4. Tournament Opening Ceremony will take place on 11 July 2026 from 09h00 to 09h30

3. MODES OF PARTICIPATION:
3.1 Tatami
Semi Contact, Light Contact, Low Kick Light, Open Championship & Team event

Open Champion & Teams event entry will be done at registration

3.2 Ringsport
Full Contact, Low Kick and K1 Fighting.

1. Athletes may compete in Tatami & Ringsport. Juniors under the age of 13 years and Seniors over that age of 45 years MAY NOT do Ring Sport.
2. Ring Sport athletes who do not have an opponent for the ring will have to compete on the Tatami should he/she be
willing to do so.
3. Should an athlete get injured/knocked out/concussed in any mode, they will not be allowed to compete further at
the Championships to ensure athlete safety.

4. MEDICAL PROCEDURE:
1. All athletes competing at the tournament must provide a copy of their annual valid Medical Certificate that was
signed by a medical doctor declaring they are fit & healthy to compete at the weigh in & registration.
2. All Ring Sport fighters will do an event medical checkup on the morning of the day they compete at.

5. WEIGH IN AND ADMINISTRATION:
1. Athletes competing must hand in a correctly completed and signed indemnity form & copy of a Medical Certificate.
2. Athletes under the age of 18 years old must have their indemnities signed by a parent or legal guardian.
3. There will be no indemnities available at weigh-in and registration process.
4. Instructors should complete this admin before arrival at the championships.
5. No athlete will be allowed to compete without all the correctly completed documentation.

6. AGE CATERGORIES:
1. Peewee- Under the age of 9 years old (8 years old and younger)
2. Children- Under the age of 11 years old (9 & 10 years old)
3. Younger Cadet- Under the age of 13 years old (11 & 12 years old)
4. Older Cadet- Under the age of 15 years old (13 & 14 years old)
5. Younger Junior-Under the age of 17 years old (15 & 16 years old)
6. Older Junior- Under the age of 19 years old. (17 & 18 years old)
7. Senior- Under the age of 40 years old (19 to 39 years old)
8. Veteran- Under the age of 50 years old (40 to 49 years old
9. Masters- Under the of 60 years old (50 to 59 years old)
