Registration Deadline:
We encourage you to register before June 01, 2026, at 23:59 PDT to avoid higher late fees.

Rank / Experience Level
Karate Events:
• Beginner: First 3-4 belts in the respective art
• Intermediate: Second 3-4 belts in the respective art
• Advanced: Third 3-4 belts in the respective art
• Black Belt

Filipino Martial Art (FMA) Events:
• Novice: Less than 2 years of experience; no participation in National or World Tournaments
• Advanced: More than 2 years of experience or participation in National or World Tournaments

Divisions
First Timers:
0-5 Forms/Point Sparring Only

Kata/Sayaws:
Use rank-appropriate forms for Traditional and Soft Style. If you choose a higher form than your rank, you will be moved to Creative Forms (Open). Thank you for your understanding.

• Traditional Hardstyle: Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Japanese Kenpo, Keichu-do, Okinawan

• Soft Style: Kung Fu, American Kenpo, Kajukenbo, Chinese Kenpo

• Creative Forms: Open, Music Option, Empty Hand, or Weapon

• Traditional Weapons: Japanese, Korean, Okinawan

Semi-Contact Continuous:

• Under 15: 3 rounds of 1 minute each with 60 seconds rest. A 3rd round only if a tie occurs.

• 16 and Over: 3 rounds of 1.5 minutes each with 60 seconds rest. A 3rd round only if a tie occurs.

Rules:
• Light contact only; excessive contact results in a warning before disqualification.
• No knockouts; instant disqualification for violations.
• One coach per corner.
• Allowed: punches/kicks to the body and light punches to the head. Front leg sweeps to the non-supported foot are permitted.

• Required protective gear: boxing gloves, headgear, shin/instep protection, groin guard, and mouthpiece. Foam booties or hand gear are not allowed.

Grand Championship:
• Overall Juniors Male/Female
• Overall Adults Male/Female

Referee Registration:
If you wish to be a referee, please register. We need your email and a photo. Bring your cell phone for the Kata divisions. A referees meeting will be held one month before the tournament.

Video Pass:
Participants may videotape events from their seats or the back of the room. Standing near the rings for filming is not allowed.

Promoter’s Note:
The promoter reserves the right to combine categories if fewer than 4 competitors are present to ensure fair competition. Safety based on age and weight will be considered.
