General Information

ICO Welsh Open 2026: The 2nd leg of the ICO 4-Nations Tournament Series 2026

We are thrilled to be hosting the ICO Welsh Open Championships as part of the ICO 4 nations tournament series. Come and take part in the biggest multi-discipline martial arts tournament to be hosted in Wales.

This groundbreaking series will span England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, aiming to become the premier multi-discipline martial arts event across the four nations.
Open to all martial arts athletes, this platform provides competitors of all skill levels with the opportunity to showcase their talents.

To foster a fair and enjoyable competition environment, the following competitor categories are as follows:

NOVICE
Eligibility:
No more than one year of competitive experience.


Coach’s Discretion:
Fighters slightly exceeding 12 months of training but still competing at a novice level may participate. Coaches are encouraged to exercise integrity to ensure fairness.

ADVANCED
Eligibility:
Over 12 months of competitive experience.

Important note for coaches:
Coaches are strongly encouraged to demonstrate integrity and fairness when entering athletes into categories.

COACH PASSES:
For teams of up to 5 fighters - x1 coach pass will be permitted.
For teams with 5-10 fighters - x2 coach passes will be permitted.
For teams of 10-15 fighters - x3 coach passes will be permitted.
For team of 15-20 fighters - x4 coach passes will be permitted.
If you are bringing a team larger than 20 competitors, you will be permitted extra passes. Please get in touch with us regarding this.

WEIGH-INS
Weigh-in will be open at the following times:

Friday 17th – 6:30pm until 9pm
Saturday 18th – 8am until 9am
Sunday 19th – 8am until 9am

Please be aware that there is a 0.5KG allowance on the scales. If you are over this allowance on the day of the event, you will be fined for moving you up to the next weight class. (All funds collected via these fines will be donated to the British heart Foundation). If you do not think you are going to make the weight you have registered at, please let us know in advance as this will save a lot of time on event day!

Please note: Divisions may be cancelled if insufficiently filled. Refunds, including for Open Weights, will be provided where no alternatives can be arranged.
