General Information

Dear Grandmasters, Masters, Instructors, Coaches, Competitors, and Spectators:

The Mexican ITF Taekwon-Do Council, in coordination with its governing body, the World ITF Council (WITC), under
the presidency of Grand Master Peter Harkess, is pleased to invite you to the 2026 ITF Taekwon-Do Open World
Championship and the 2026 ITF Taekwon-Do Open Yellow Belt World Cup.

This prestigious event will take place in the city of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, at the Convention Center of the María
Dolores Hotel, located approximately 16 km from Ponciano Arriaga International Airport (SLP) in San Luis Potosí.
Within this invitation, we will provide information on the various international travel routes, with the aim of
facilitating a comfortable and safe arrival at the event venue.

The event will be held from October 30th to November 1st and will be open to:

• Children and Juniors: ages 6 to 17
• Adults: ages 18 to 34
• Veterans: ages 35 and above

For this edition, and in coordination with the World ITF Council, it has been decided to incorporate the Open Yellow
Belt World Cup, with the objective of providing competitors of this rank the opportunity to experience an
international competitive environment appropriate to their level.

For our international visitors, tourism and logistical information will be made available to ensure a pleasant stay in
Mexico. Participants will have the opportunity to explore emblematic regions of central Mexico such as the
Huasteca Potosina, as well as, via air travel, beach destinations such as Puerto Vallarta and Cancún, and
archaeological sites of great historical significance such as Teotihuacan.

Additionally, due to the dates of the event, attendees will be able to enjoy the mystical and magical atmosphere of
the Day of the Dead celebrations, a unique cultural experience that distinguishes our country.

We look forward to welcoming you and inviting you to enjoy a display of Taekwon-Do skills presented by some of
the finest ITF Taekwon-Do practitioners worldwide.

Kind regards. SBN Erick Omar Rodríguez Estrada
President
Mexican ITF Taekwon-Do Council
