Competition Categories:

o Team Events: Patterns (Mixed Gender/Ranks), Sparring
N.B. Please note that all competitors must register to be able to compete in individual and/or team events, and all coaches must register to be able to support a competitor.
COMPULSORY Sparring Safety and Protective Equipment:
o Mouth guard
o Closed 10oz gloves – no exposed fingers
o Foot guard – No portion of the foot shall extend beyond the guard
o Groin guard (Compulsory – For Males)
OPTIONAL Sparring Safety and Protective Equipment:
o Head guard
o Arm and shin guards (soft sock style)
DISPUTES-PROTESTS
Protests must be lodged immediately after the match and before the commencement of the next match. No protest will be considered if the subsequent match has begun. All protests must be submitted to the Jury President or Tournament Director, accompanied by a cash fee of AUD300. If the decision is upheld and not overturned, the protest fee will be forfeited. Upon a protest, the bracket will be paused, a replacement Official will be appointed, and a new bracket will commence.
Only official protests may be submitted by the coach who was seated in the coach’s chair during the match. Protest discussions will be limited to the Jury President, Tournament Director, or an appointed delegate. The coach must be a registered Coach for the event.
All coaching staff are to conduct themselves in the spirit of Taekwon-Do, and demonstrate courtesy and self-control regardless of Title, Rank, or position. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the venue for the remainder of the event.
