GTI British Open (Global Taekwondo International)

Global Taekwondo International is pleased to invite you to participate in the 2025 British Open Championships.

This event will be held at 'Leisure at Cheltenham' Leisure Centre, and will take place on Sunday 30th November.

All ITF-Style Taekwondo clubs and associations are welcome to take part. Minimum rank of Yellow-tag (9th Kup) is required to participate.

Doors open 9:00am for a 9:30am prompt start.

Events will include:
• Patterns
• Point-Stop Sparring (for Yellow/Green belt, 9th-5th Kup, under 18’s only)
• Continuous Sparring (for all other juniors and all adults)
• Power Test (for adults, blue belt, 4th Kup, and above)

We offer fully matted areas and high-quality medals, as well as:
• Junior categories separated by age group, as well as by height in sparring for 13 and under, weight for 14-17.
• Separate divisions for black belt veterans (where numbers allow, 40+).
• Separate patterns categories for different black belt grades (where numbers allow).
• Fair judging of sinewave and non-sinewave patterns
• FREE entry for all spectators!

Cost:

ENTRIES WILL BE CAPPED AT 300 - When we hit 300 entries, bookings will close.

This event will also be an opportunity for black belt competitors from all associations to collect ranking points for the 2025/26 Competitor of the Year awards. Current rankings can be found from the menu.

Insurance
If your current organisation does not support you by extending your existing insurance cover for external events, then we can offer liability and no-fault accident cover at a cost of £5 per entrant. This will cover you for all GTI events until the end of this year. If this insurance is required then it can be arranged on the day by visiting the admin desk.
