SOUTH TYNESIDE OPEN (STO) 2026

Welcome to the 19th South Tyneside Open which will be held on Sunday 28th of June 2026. Venue : Temple Park Leisure Centre, South Shields, Tyne and Wear.
Categories = Points, Light Con, and New for this year Low Kick LC on mats and also Box Light. Ring Categories are Ring Light Con and Ring Low Kick LC for under 18 months sparring experience and separate categories for those more experienced . Please note both Points ,Light Con (mat and ring ) categories have been split into the following - under 18 months sparring experience and over,( apart from the very lightest of the children's categories). We would ask all coaches to take note on this and to be as accurate as possible when registering. Please note we have well over 200 categories and do not want to create anymore as want to keep the tournament competitive with a good number in each category however if we cannot match you we can where possible create additional categories and still keep you within the 2 year (for 17yrs and under) and 4kg gap ( for all competitors ). Therefore it is important that you register your correct and safe fight weight as well as your age and experience. Competitors are allowed to fight up in weight but cannot change their "experience" you are either Under 18months sparring experience or over.
Weigh in will be on the day with a 0.5k allowance, there will be 4 weigh in points prior to entering the arena.
Doors open 9am and first fights start 11am prompt.
As usual there will be quality food and drinks on sale all day in the ancillary hall . Spectators tickets can be bought on the day £10 Adults , £5 Children in cash. Please note Registration Ends Midnight Monday 23rd June.
