2025 AAITF National Championships

Event Details:
• Dates: Saturday, 21 June 2025 & Sunday, 22 June 2025
• Start Time: 8am (Doors opened at 7:15am)
• Venue: Bayside Secondary College (Altona North Campus)
• Address: 1 McArthurs Road, Altona North, VIC 3025, Australia

Competition Categories:
• Individual Events: Patterns, Sparring, Special Technique, Power Breaking
• Team Events: Patterns (Mixed Gender/Ranks), Sparring, Self-Defence Routine

Divisions:
• Juniors: Under 18 years (further divided based on entry numbers)
• Seniors: 18–34 years
• Veterans: 35 years and above
Note: Divisions may vary based on entry. Competition will largely follow the ITF-Vienna Tournament Rules, which can be found online at the following location: https://www.itf-tkd.org/

COMPULSORY Sparring Safety and Protective Equipment:
• Head guard
• Mouth guard
• Closed 10oz gloves – no exposed fingers
• Foot guard – No portion of the foot shall extend beyond the guard
• Groin guard (Compulsory – For Males)

❗ IMPORTANT Venue Access Requirement – Working with Children Check (WWCC)

We have been advised by the venue that all individuals 18yrs and older onsite between 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, 21st June must hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent (i.e. Blue Card in Queensland, or equivalent in other states). This includes participants, officials, spectators, parents, and supporters.

This requirement is in place due to other child-focused events running concurrently and is part of the newly introduced Child Safety Regulations enforced by the venue.

We understand that most officials should already hold a valid WWCC, especially those working with children. However, we ask that this information be shared widely with all members of your team, including supporters and parents.

Please note: A Volunteer WWCC is free to apply for and is sufficient for entry during this time.

What this means:
• Anyone over 18 years of age without a valid WWCC or Blue Card or equivalent will not be permitted onsite from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, 21 June 2025.
• Outside of this timeframe, access is unrestricted, and a WWCC is not required.
• This policy will be strictly enforced, and no exceptions can be made.
