CHITF NSW CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

Event Details:
• Dates: Saturday, 16th August 2025
• Start Time: 9 am (Doors opened at 8 am
• Venue: Veolia Arena
• Address: 45 Braidwood RD, Goulburn NSW 2580, Australia

Competition Categories:
• Individual Events: Patterns, Sparring, Special Technique, Power Breaking
• Team Events: Patterns (Mixed Gender/Ranks), Sparring, Self-Defence Routine

Divisions:
• Under 10s sparring will have no high section attacks
• Juniors: Under 18 years (further divided based on entry numbers)
• Seniors: 18–34 years
• Veterans: 35 years and above
Note: Divisions may vary based on entry. Competition will largely follow the original ITF rules for sparring (3 point rule set)

COMPULSORY Sparring Safety and Protective Equipment:

• Mouth guard
• Closed 10oz gloves – no exposed fingers
• Foot guard – No portion of the foot shall extend beyond the guard
• Groin guard (Compulsory – For Males)

OPTIONAL
• Head guard
• Shin guards (Soft sock style)

DISPUTES-PROTESTS
Protests must be lodged immediately after the match and before the commencement of the next match. No protest will be considered if the subsequent match has begun. All protests must be submitted to the Jury President or Tournament Director, accompanied by a cash fee of $300. If the decision is upheld and not overturned, the protest fee will be forfeited. Upon a protest, the bracket will be paused, a replacement Official will be appointed, and a new bracket will commence.

Only official protests may be submitted by the coach who was seated in the coach’s chair during the match. Protest discussions will be limited to the Jury President, Tournament Director, or an appointed delegate. The coach must be a registered Coach for the event.

All coaching staff are to conduct themselves in the spirit of Taekwon-Do, and demonstrate courtesy and self-control regardless of Title, Rank, or position. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the venue for the remainder of the event.
