Karate SA – Jindokai Cup

Terms & Conditions:

• Entry form must be completed honestly and accurately.
• Use only one entry form per person.
• Age is determined by the age a competitor will be on 11 July 2025.
• If under 18 years of age, declaration must be signed by Parents/Guardians.
• WKF rules will be applied to this tournament and may be modified at the discretion of Karate SA.
• Competitors are responsible for their own insurance (Participation/Member-to-Member and Sports Injury/Accident cover).
• Children/Cadets/Juniors may not enter more than one (1) age category.
• Organisers may combine or cancel divisions with insufficient entries.
• This Tournament is open to Karate Australia members only.


Compulsory Safety Equipment – KUMITE

• AKF approved red and blue mitts and shin/instep protectors (all competitors)
• AKF approved body protectors and mouth guards (all competitors)
• Groin guards (Males)
• AKF approved face masks (13 years and under)
• AKF approved chest protection (Females – Cadets, Juniors & Seniors)


Conditions of Entry – Disclaimer

• I acknowledge that I have read the definitions set out below.
• I acknowledge that participation in the Tournament carries a significant risk of personal injury.
• I, for myself and the Releasors, relinquish, release and/or waive any action against the Releasees for any personal injury sustained in the course of the Tournament, whether due to any disregard and/or technical breach of any Rules of the Tournament or otherwise.
• I indemnify the Releasees against any cost and damages arising from or connected with such action.
• I authorise Karate SA and/or its nominated representative to capture photographic/digital images during the event and to use them for promotional purposes.


Definitions

• “Personal Injury”: Injury for which a person might be awarded General and/or Special Damages at Common Law.
• “The Releasors”: Family, dependents, heirs, executors and/or assigns, and any person(s) claiming through them.
• “The Releasees”: Any corporation, association or person(s) associated with the promotion or conduct of the Tournament, including competitors, referees, and observers or members of the audience.
• “Any Action”: Any claim, right and/or course of action for damages at Common Law or pursuant to any statute.
• “The Rules”: The rules for the time being of the AKF Incorporated.


Participant Declaration

• I am a registered, insured member of Karate Australia through a participating registered dojo.
• I have read the Rules, General Information, Conditions of Entry, Disclaimer, Definitions and Participant Declaration, and have completed my form correctly and honestly.
• I understand I need to provide my own protective equipment.
