Please join us for the second edition of the 2023 East Cape Shotokan-Ryu Karate Championships on the 25th of November 2023. The Championship will take place at the Thomas Pringle Hall at the 1820 Settlers Monument in Makhanda (Grahamstown).
For the first time, we will be trialling the Kihapp Tournament Management System which provides viewing and real time updates for scoring, drawsheets and category starting times. This data is accessible via parents’, competitors’, and coaches’ smart phones. A further option allows for the categories to be streamed on social media.
The Championship will be based on the WUKF rules with amendments and will include individual kata and kumite categories for karateka up to the age of 17.
We would be honoured with your participation in what promises to be an enjoyable Championship for participants, officials, and spectators alike.
