Judges/Coaches Meeting 8:30am

Black Belt Division Begin @ 9:00am
Under Black Belt divisions begin at 11:30am

SPECTATOR FEE
$5 for 7 yrs and over.
$0 for 6 yrs and under

THIS IS A NON-CONTACT TOURNAMENT
The printed rules clearly state: “Each contestant is responsible for the control of his/her techniques.” All competitors must wear protective equipment that is required by the referee counsel; gloves, helmet, mouth guard & groin protection (males). Other protective equipment can be worn as long as it is allowed by the chief referee. The wearing of the equipment is for the protection of the participants, NOT TO PROMOTE CONTACT. Contact violations will be given by the referee panel. 3 violations will result in disqualification. The Referee, with a majority vote, may elevate a contact violation if necessary, including up to disqualification. Any contestant maliciously causing injury to their opponent will be disqualified immediately and will be awarded Shikaku, exit from the tournament.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SPECIFIC DIVISIONS

Synchronized Kata: If you wish to register for Team/ Synchronized kata you will have to add that division under Register Team. Register team is NOT the place to register your entire team for the individual events but to register for synchronized kata. If you wish to register your team please enter one participant first then after you are done with the one participant it will ask you if you want to register another participant. If you have any questions please let us know.

Little Dragons divisions: these divisions are created for 4-, 5-, & 6-year-old competitors. Their divisions will consist of Kata, Kumite, and Blocker sparring (link). All competitors will stage at the same time regardless of the events they are competing in.

Grand Champion divisions: these divisions are created to showcase the day’s best Black Belt competitors.

Adult Kata Grand Champion will consist of the winners in each category: Men & Women Black Belt Kata, Men & Women Senior Black Belt kata, & Black Belt Weapons.

Youth Kata Grand Champion will consist of the winners in each category: Youth Black Belt Kata (all ages), Youth Black Belt Weapons

Adult Male Kumite Grand Champion will consist of the winners in each category: Adult Men’s Black Belt lightweight, middle weight, heavyweight, & Men Senior winner

Adult Female Kumite Grand Champion will consist of the winners in each category: Adult Women’s Black Belt lightweight & heavyweight, & Women’s Senior winner

Youth Male Kumite Grand Champion will consist of the winners in each category: 12-17 Youth Black Belt winners.

Youth Female Kumite Grand Champion will consist of the winners in each category: 12-17 Youth Black Belt winners.

Inclusive Categories:
• Group A: Competitors have full mobility of arms and legs (competitor can kick above the waist and extend arms fully
for hand techniques) or have a higher level of cognitive skills. Competitors perform patterns with assistance from
instructor/coach. Instructor/Coach assists from outside the ring.
• Group B: Competitors have limited mobility of arms and/or legs (do not kick above the waist, do not extend arms
fully for hand techniques) or have a lower level of cognitive skills. Competitors perform basis skills such as blocking,
striking and kicking techniques with direction from an instructor/ coach. Instructor/coach may be in the ring with
competitor and perform technique/form alongside of the competitor.
• Group C: Competitor compete in a wheelchair. Competitor performs techniques/ forms on their own.

AWARDS
The Franco Cup will feature a beautiful 3D die cast medal for all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in all kata, kobudo, and kumite divisions. Amazing awards will be presented to the “Most Supportive School”. Beautiful awards for Grand Champion Kata & Kumite and Jr. Grand Champion Kata & Kumite.

Rank Description/Key:
Beginner = 0 - 1 yr experience
Novice = 1 - 2 yr experience
Intermediate = 2 - 4 yr experience
Advanced = Black Belt
*Divisions may be combined.
