The Points Fighter Challenge 2024

Introducing The Points Fighter Challenge 2024! Hosted by award-winning martial arts brand Fightwear Store UK and Points Fighter.


The main aim of this event is to provide a friendly and encouraging environment that allows novice fighters to gain experience and confidence, whilst also providing advanced fighters with an exciting, high-level tournament. 



As well as Novice/Advanced Point Fighting categories, we have Light Continuous divisions, PF Grand Champion categories for 12-16 year olds and 17 years+ and also our unique Just Blitz categories, where fighters are only allowed to use their hands!
The Just Blitz categories are a fun, fast-paced variation to Point Fighting and we think that the results may be very interesting!


Weigh-in will start at 8:00am. Fighting will start at 9.30am.



All athletes enter at their own risk and Parents/Guardians/Coaches enter their children into a contact sport knowing there is a risk of injury involved.


A Coach pass will be available per team. Larger teams will be granted more.



The spectator fee on the door will be £15. Please note that there will be no card payments taken on the day. 



***NOVICE/ADVANCED CRITERIA***
Novice - Any competitor with 18 months or less of competitive experience can be classed as a novice fighter.
Advanced - Any fighter with over 18 months of competitive experience is considered advanced.
*If any advanced competitors are incorrectly entered into novice divisions, they may be disqualified without refund, if not rectified prior to the event date*

EQUIPMENT:
Point Fighting & Just Blitz categories - 

All gloves must be open-hand semi-contact (point fighting) gloves. 

Foot pads must cover the top of the foot, including the toes, as well as the heel.
Shin pads must be worn and cannot be attached to the instep.
Head guards and gum shields are compulsory.

All male fighters must wear a groin guard.

All female fighters, over the age of 13, must wear a chest guard. 



Light Continuous categories - 

5-6 year olds: 4oz - 10oz boxing gloves.

7-12 year olds: 6oz - 10oz boxing gloves.

13 years and up: 10oz boxing gloves.

UNIFORM:
All fighters must wear full-length martial arts trousers with either a Gi top or Martial Arts related T-Shirt. (NO HIGH STREET BRANDS E.G. NIKE/ADIDAS).




There will be no refunds after registration closes on 25/08/24, unless there was nobody in one of your categories but if a fight has been found for you, no refund will be given.
