General Information
Ms. Emilia Tambunga, a 7 year old CVMAC 7th Gup (Green Stripe) student, and her grandmother were tragically killed as their vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by a human trafficker who was transporting illegals across Texas on IH 10 traveling west, near Ozona, TX. The driver of the vehicle exited IH 10 at Ozona, to elude Law Enforcement officials who were in pursuit. He was traveling at speeds in excess of 100 mph when he struck the Tambunga’s vehicle as they were crossing an intersection at a green light on their way home. Both Emilia and her grandmother were killed upon impact.
Emilia’s mother, Elisa, and her grandfather, Emilio, also trained with us in Ozona, many years ago, and both have wholeheartedly endorsed our Memorial Tournament this summer. Elisa plans to attend our Training Tournament.
